 Gods Hate this world and every one of its inhabitants indeed.

 신들은 이 세계와 거기에 살고 있는 자들 하나하나를 증오하는 것이 분명하다.

 Aldor has been overrun by disasters lately. When the fires of war faded, we had no respite, before another calamity set in. Today a frightened lad from Wintersbrook came to us. Half of his village had fallen from an someone unknown ailment.

 최근 알도르가 재앙들로 뒤덮히고 있다. 전쟁의 불씨가 사라지자, 한 숨 돌리기도 전에, 또 다른 재앙이 덮친다. 오늘은 윈터즈브룩에서 온 겁에 질린 꼬맹이가 우리에게 왔다. 그의 마을의 절반이나 되는 인원들이 누군가의 알 수 없는 병으로 쓰러졌다고.

 I still hope that it was all but a wild tale. I still hope that the boy himself was not infected...

 나는 아직도 그것이 우스갯소리이길 바라고 있다. 나는 그 소년이 감염되지 않았길 빌고 있다...

 Everything is in vain. The whole district is diseased.

 모든 것이 허사가 되었다. 전 구역이 질병에 걸렸다.

 The miasma has come upon us: last night Brother Albert fell ill, then the fever started. A few hours later, his body was densely covered with bloody abscesses. The blood flow will not be stemmed.

 불길한 기분이 실체가 되었다: 어젯밤 알버트 형제가 앓더니, 열이 시작됐다. 몇 시간 후, 그의 몸이 점차 피고름으로 뒤덮히기 시작했다. 흐르는 피는 그치지 않았다.

 I have announced a quarantine, but I fear this is only the beginning, Too late: half of the monastery will be infected tomorrow morning. Myself included, I now fear.

 나는 격리 소식을 발표했으나, 이것은 그저 시작일 뿐이란 것에 공포를 느꼈다, 너무 늦었지만 말이다: 다음 날 아침 수도원의 절반이 감염되었다. 나 또한 포함해서, 난 지금 두렵다.

 As if we hadn't troubles enough, today the whole of Wintersbrook came to the temple. They sought aid and healing: but we lack both. I was forced to turn them away, too many of them were hopelessly sick. They raged and threatened to burn us alive, I lead the community into the catacombs, away from the mob's churning.

 우리가 겪은 문제가 충분치 않다는 듯이, 오늘은 신전으로 윈터스브룩의 모든 인원들이 들이닥쳤다. 그들은 지원과 치료를 찾았으나: 우리는 둘 다 부족했다. 나는 그들을 억지로 돌려보낼 수 밖에 없었다, 너무나 많은 자들이 가망없이 앓고 있었다. 그들은 분노하고 우리를 산 채로 태우겠다 협박했지만, 나는 성난 군중들이 휘젓는 것을 피해, 주민들을 납골당으로 이끌고 갔다.

 I must save those whom I can help. I must not allow this sacred place to become another mass grave.

 나는 내가 도울 수 있는 자들을 반드시 구하겠다. 나는 이 신성한 곳을 또 다른 공동묘지로 만들 것을 절대로 허락하지 않겠다.

 Visions... Since we went down, not a day has passed without a new one.

 환영인가... 우리가 내려간 동안, 하루도 채 지나지 않았을 때였다.

 They come to me like dreams. Vague reflections...l ghostly shapes looming. They are haunting... otherworldly.

 그들은 나에게 꿈처럼 다가왔다. 희미한 반사광... 나는 유령같은 형체들을 어렴풋이 보았다. 그들은 비현실적인... 뇌리에 잊혀지지 않는 모습이였다.

 One night they spoke, "We are the Court," they intoned. "We have come to offer..."

 어느 날 밤 그들이 말했다, "우리는 의회다," 그들이 읊조렸다. "우리는 제안을 하기 위해 왔다..."

 ...not my fault. The one whom we have worshipped for milenia is blind to our grief and deaf to our prayers, I am not a traitor, but what choice did I have? The court is merciful. The Court gave us life. The price was high, but our people sacrificed their lives to drive away the disease and save the others.

 ...내 잘못이 아니다. 우리가 천년이나 숭배했던 자들은 우리의 믿음을 보지 않고 우리의 기도에 귀를 기울이지 않고, 나는 배교자는 아니지만 선택의 여지나 남아있었겠는가? 의회는 자비로웠다. 의회는 우리에게 삶을 주었다. 대가는 비쌌다만, 우리의 사람들은 질병을 물리치고 다른 사람들을 구하기 위해 그들의 삶을 희생했다.

 Now we have the strength to live on. The strength to serve the Court. The strength to fulfill our oath.

 이제 우리는 살아갈 힘을 얻었다. 의회를 섬길 힘이다. 우리의 맹세를 이행할 힘 말이다.
